“The Temple Lie - Real Fruit, Real Faith"
Scripture: “Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods… and then come and stand before me in this house… and say, ‘We are safe’—safe to do all these detestable things?” - Jeremiah 7:1-4

💡 Reflection:
In Jeremiah 7, God calls out His people for faking it. They showed up at the temple, said all the right things, and thought that was enough — but their lives told a different story.
They said “God, we’re good!” …But their hearts were cold.
They praised with their lips, …but lived like He didn’t matter.
God doesn’t want a performance — He wants evidence. And in the New Testament, Paul tells us what that evidence looks like:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…” — Galatians 5:22–23
These aren't just words on a poster in Sunday school — they’re signs of a surrendered heart.
🍇 Real Worship Bears Real Fruit
Are you loving even when it’s hard?
Are you patient when things don’t go your way?
Do people see joy and peace in your actions — not just your church posts?
When we truly worship, these fruits begin to grow in us. If they’re missing, it’s not time to try harder, …it’s time to surrender deeper.
🔹God won’t bless what we won’t surrender and real surrender produces real fruit.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want a fake version of faith. I want the real thing with love, joy, peace, and all the fruit of Your Spirit growing in my life. Help me stop performing and start surrendering. Show me where I’ve trusted appearances more than obedience. I want to live in a way that honors You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
